An interview with A Sound Effect about my work on "Immortality"

A Sound Effect featured my collaboration with Corridor Digital, reimagining what lightsabers could sound like. Come read the post, which features a sound design breakdown!

I had the pleasure of reuniting with director Mike Diva and the crew at Lord Danger to sound design and mix Lil Nas X’s “Panini” music video, which has best been summarized as “slapstick cyberpunk.” We had a fairly short post turnaround for sound (about a week and a half, with VFX rolling in along the way), but the vision was clear from the get-go: we needed a living, breathing, Blade Runner-esque soundscape for the goofy antics to take place in.

So, I did a Star Wars fan film. The original trilogy had a huge impact on my imagination growing up, so when I was contacted about working on “Star Wars SC 38 Reimagined,” I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to “unofficially” play around in a galaxy (and sonic space) that has had such an influence on my work.
